United produces another sensational come back

On Saturday United produced another sensational come back which is trade mark of the Current English and European champions.Trailing 2-0 at half time the champions scored 5 goals in less than half an hour . The comeback denied Harry Redknapp of his first ever managerial win at Manchester United's home stadium, and created history in that the game was the first time in over two years that the Red Devils have come back from a two-goal disadvantage.

Spurs rocked Old Trafford as they took a two-goal lead in the first half courtesy of goals from Darren Bent and Luka Modric, both players capitalising on sloppy United defending.

Twelve minutes into the second period, though, the Red Devils were handed a lifeline when referee Howard Webb pointed to the penalty spot despite Spurs goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes taking the ball when challenging Michael Carrick.

And so the turnaround ensued as Cristiano Ronaldo dispatched and Wayne Rooney soon levelled with a shot at Gomes' near post, before the former completed the comeback a minute later with a close-range diving header.

There was further salt in the wound to come for Tottenham when Rooney grabbed his second of the match before former Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov helped bundle the ball over the line to ensure United returned to the top.
